Through a combination of one-to-one support, small group provision, holistic mentoring and specialist online learning, Gaia helps independent schools create flexible pathways for pupils who need additional support to stay engaged.

We work with each school to develop a personalised learning plan that reflects the learner’s needs, the school’s curriculum and the desired outcomes, helping pupils rebuild confidence, strengthen engagement and make meaningful progress while remaining connected to their school community.

Independent Schools Brochure

We support pupils who may be neurodivergent, have SEND, experience anxiety, emotionally based school avoidance, sensory differences, burnout, or difficulty managing the pace and demands of the traditional classroom. Our calm, structured online sessions provide targeted support, continuity of learning and a pathway back to confidence — without adding pressure to internal staffing teams.

Gaia Learning works with pupils aged 7–16+ and can provide:

  • One-to-one specialist teaching to support or supplement in-school learning
  • One-to-three or one-to-eight small group provision
  • Subject-specific support, including core subjects and GCSE preparation
  • Flexible timetables for pupils who remain on roll but are learning from home, a library, or another suitable setting
  • Short-term or long-term alternative provision for pupils unable to access school full-time
  • SEND-informed learning plans aligned with school priorities and pupil outcomes
  • Reintegration support for pupils returning after absence or reduced attendance
  • Executive functioning and wellbeing coaching to build confidence, independence and engagement
  • Cohort-based support, where schools need specialist provision for a group of pupils across the academic year

Every pathway is designed around the pupil, the school and the family. Pupils can continue their learning in school while accessing specialist support through Gaia, or follow a flexi-timetabled programme from another location while remaining connected to their school community.

Our delivery is supported through Bloom, giving school teams visibility of each learner’s progress, engagement and development. Schools can also access a Bloom licence to support their own delivery of specialist education, helping them evidence provision, strengthen communication with families and respond more effectively to learner need.

Whether a school needs temporary support, additional subject capacity, specialist SEND provision, or a flexible pathway for a pupil at risk of disengaging, Gaia Learning works alongside pastoral and academic teams to help re-engage pupils, reassure families and support retention.

Gaia Learning extends the reach of your school — helping pupils remain connected, supported and able to make meaningful progress, even when the classroom alone is not the right fit.
