Helping your find funds & fuel futures.

Many parents and families come to us looking to advise and guidance on how to access funding and more broadly, how to support their children in their education from home.

Below are examples of how we have been funded previously and may be options open to you.

Local Authority Funding (EHCP / SEN Support)

Many of our learners are funded through Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) or other local authority support packages.

  • Who it’s for: Learners with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • How it works: Gaia can be named in Section F of an EHCP as the education provider. Local authorities may fund fully or partially, especially where mainstream provision isn’t suitable. Some learners are funded under Elective Home Education with SEN support from their LA.

We’re experienced in working with local authorities across the UK and can support families with the application and review process.

Direct from Families (Self-Funded)

Families can pay directly for sessions, courses or subscriptions.

  • Who it’s for: Parents/carers who want flexible, neurodivergent-friendly learning without going through an EHCP process.
  • How it works: Pay per session, course, or bundle. We offer flexible packages for 1:1 tuition, group classes, and self-paced learning. Discounts available for termly bookings or longer commitments.

School or Trust Funding

Some schools fund Gaia Learning as part of a learner’s provision.

  • Who it’s for: Learners on roll at a school, especially if they’re at risk of exclusion, school refusal, or need additional intervention.
  • How it works: Schools may use SEND budgets, pupil premium, or alternative provision funding. Gaia reports can be integrated with school records and EHCP reviews. Sessions can be delivered during school hours and aligned with school goals.

Charities or education funds

  • Examples include: Family Fund Variety – the Children’s Charity Local or regional SEND charities School hardship funds

We’re happy to provide supporting documentation for grant applications.

Social Services or Other Agency Funding

Sometimes social care, youth justice, or CAMHS teams may fund Gaia Learning.

  • Who it’s for: Children under a care plan, looked-after children (LAC), or those involved with early help services.
  • How it works: Often part of a multi-agency package to provide holistic support. Can complement therapeutic or safeguarding interventions.
