At Gaia Learning, we make it as flexible as you need it to be.

We know some of our learners stay for a few weeks, right through to full academic years. So you can either PAYG on a per session basis, mixed with some 1:1 sessions (6-week commitment), or commit to everything, all live classes on a half termly, termly or annual group sessions.

Throughout your journey with us we'll make sure what we offer is right for your child.

We can be included as part of your EOTAS package and provide reporting to support any EHCP processes. We will build a package to suit your child.

  • All interest-based courses included in half-termly commitment, termly or annual.

Helping your child feel part of something...

Our small, neurodivergent-friendly group classes give learners the thing 1:1 can’t always offer—belonging.

In a calm, predictable space, students choose how to take part (camera off is fine; voice or chat both welcome) and build confidence through interest-led projects and gentle collaboration.

Classes are kept intentionally small, with low ratios and check-ins so no one gets lost in the crowd. Every learner has personalised goals woven into the session, and families receive clear updates on progress. Many choose to blend group sessions with 1:1 for targeted skills—together they unlock both connection and growth.

The Benefits of 1:1 Support

  • Personal pace, personal plan: Targets the exact gaps and strengths; tempo adapts to energy, processing time, and focus.
  • Intensive skill-building: Deep work on priorities (e.g., reading, maths, writing, communication, executive function) without distraction.
  • Immediate feedback & adjustment: The educator can pivot in the moment—reteach, model, scaffold, or extend.
  • Flexible logistics: Timing, duration, and format can match the learner’s rhythms and medical/energy needs.
  • Bridge to wider participation: 1:1 can rehearse social/learning routines that later transfer into small groups.

Benefit of Small Group Classes

  • Belonging: “Part of something” with real friendships and safe community.
  • Gentle on-ramps: Predictable routines, cameras optional, choose voice/chat, opt-in participation.
  • Designed for engagement: Short segments, movement/brain breaks, interest-led topics, co-creation and collaboration.
  • Small groups, high care: Low ratios, clear roles, individual check-ins inside the group.
  • Seen and supported: Personalised goals inside the class; 1:1 and group can blend.
  • Social outcomes + learning: Collaboration, turn-taking, problem-solving—transferable skills families value.

Honest, Useful Reporting

How we share progress and help learners, together

We believe families deserve a clear picture of how their child is really getting on—what’s going well and what’s hard.

At Gaia Learning, we report on progress and challenges side-by-side, so there are no surprises at GCSE choices, next steps, or when seeking support. Our aim is transparency that actually helps: actionable insights, not just praise.

How we report...

  • Half-termly full reports – a rich update on progress, engagement, and wellbeing, including what’s working, what isn’t, and recommended next steps.
  • End-of-term lighter reports – a concise summary to keep everyone aligned without overwhelming you.
  • Balanced by design – we always include areas of difficulty and the strategies we’re testing, so you can see the full picture.

Conversations that move things forward...

  • Talk to us anytime – book a call with our Principal or SENCO whenever you need to discuss concerns, adjustments, or next steps.
  • Two-way communication – we invite families to share what they notice at home (including anything a learner might be masking online). The more we know, the better we can tailor support.

Evidence that unlocks support...

  • EHCP & EOTAS ready – our reports can be used as evidence, showing both achievements and barriers, plus the approaches that help (and those that don’t) for your child.
  • Flexible to need – if you’d benefit from more frequent updates or additional review calls, we’ll adapt the cadence.

Start your Sessions

When you're ready to go our team will allocate you the classes and educators via our online platform - simply login on our website and we'll see you in the virtual classroom!

Each learner has their own virtual whiteboard for notetaking. They can access classes and content outside of the timetabled hours and can use the chat, camera, video and communication tools as little or as much as they like.

"Classroom in a Single Tab"

Imagine an online classroom that's as simple as opening a single tab. This is more than just video and chat. We've created a wholly interactive eco-system designed to keep all learners engaged and interested.

Learner feedback after each session

Our system will automatically notify a learners key contact if a student doesn't attend a session. It will also automatically generate and send detailed feedback on each student after every session.

Safe and secure

Keeping students safe is our number 1 priority. We have an open door policy for our classrooms, so any educator can access any classroom at any time. Every class is recorded - audio and video and we monitor all engagement, online activity and feedback from the learners and can report on this as required by our school partner.

Highly Interactive

Collaborative whiteboards, integrated multimedia content, chat and video functionality, shared and personal spaces to work. This isn't a learner sat alone learning in front of a screen, this is bringing a reimagined classroom to their fingertips. We can adjust all settings per classroom per learner to support safeguarding and deliver the best learner experience.

Available from anywhere, any time

As part of our commitment to being flexible for our learners, our classroom is as accessible from home as it is from the top of a mountain (yes, we've tried it!).

Our Bespoke Platform

In this video we explain how our online platform works to access classes and courses from our Gaia Academy.

  • Unique user login via website
  • Interactive class content & courses accessible 24/7
  • Browser Based - no download required

Case Studies

“I am truly blown away by how she has adapted to her Gaia Learning lessons and her positive change towards learning. P loves Gaia!” - P's Mum

13 year old 'P'

Location: North Yorkshire
Joined: September 2023
Loves: Horses
Difficulties: struggles to keep attention in class, has low academic confidence, is awaiting an ADHD assessment

P joined our lower secondary timetable in September and now attends 16 sessions a week. Over the summer we also supported her mum by giving her access to our legal team, who helped her to navigate the complicated process of applying for local authority funding.

I would strongly recommend Gaia to any family who have neurodivergent children or anxiety. 'S' was quickly welcomed by all teachers. 'M' especially made her feel really welcome.

For me as a parent my
mental strain was relieved as I could not home educate and work at the same time . This was the best option for a 'S', and I’m pleased to say she’s thriving with Gaia."

Families FAQ's

Can my child go back into school?

Do you accept students from overseas?

How does it work with exams?

Yes we focus on what is best for the learner and want them to thrive with their learning. If your child is best in a physical school we will work with you and the school to make that happen. Learners can be with us for a day, week or term - whatever works for you.

Yes absolutely. All of our curriculum and content is international and part of the Cambridge curriculum. We run our main class timetable in GMT and can offer 1:1 additional tuition more responsive to your timezone.

Learners who are homeschooled can be registered as a private learner with Cambridge - our partnership with Tutors and Exam centres means we can help you find the right exam centre at the right time across multiple exam boards.

How do you get to know the student?

Can my child have a taster lesson?

We spend time to build a relationship with your child as this is fundamental to success. We recognise their strengths and listen to their needs. If they are in school, have a care plan or there is specific insight from the family and educational community which can be shared we welcome that also to help build a personalised learning plan.

Absolutely. We offer up to 30 minutes of a free taster lesson to show the student how to use our tech, and get to know the child’s interests to understand how we can best work together.

Have you worked with children who are Autistic?

My child has an EOTAS, what happens now?

What are the fees?

Yes. Our educators are all SEN trained and experienced in working with children with additional needs and learning difficulties. For tuition, your child is personally matched to a tutor that will best support their needs. For our online school, we form small groups of up to 8 or 12 students who have similiar challenges and learning goals.

We can help. Connect us in to your SENCO lead at the school or main contact or your local authority and we will do the rest.

We build a flexible plan for your child depending on their need. Group sessions are £35 + VAT and 1:1 sessions are £65 + VAT.

If you're looking for a 'full group timetable' this is typically 12 x group sessions per week which is £420 + VAT.
